With the warming weather, it is time to start thinking about golf. In pursuit of such a lofty goal, this letter is your personal invitation to join your brethren U. S. Naval Academy Alumni Association golfers for the to be held at Fort McPherson’s The Golfers Club on Friday, May 20, 2011. If you have not yet done so, please mark your calendars now!!! An event flyer, with a registration form are posted below. The date was picked to give plenty of breathing room from Mothers Day, Easter, and Memorial Day. We are hoping to break the attendance record set last year as well as set another record for contributions to our charity that continues to be aimed at tuition for less-fortunate youngsters in the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades to attend the SummerScape camp program conducted by the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) at Georgia Tech. Our hope is that attendance at this camp will give the youngsters a leg up on life and new ambitions for completing high school and going on to college. Our goal is to help these kids become good and productive citizens (and possibly attend one of the service academies).
The driving range will be open at 9:30 am and the classic will get underway with a shotgun start at 11:00 am. A fine dinner and awards program will follow in the ballroom area of the Commons, upstairs from the pro shop.

Currently, Navy leads the series with eleven victories to three for the Black Knights of the Hudson. We would like to see this pattern of success continue and thus ask all Navy golfers in the area to participate and join in the fun and make the 15th Classic the BEST EVER!
