RADM (ret.) Jim McGarrah '73
Rear Admiral McGarrah has had both a distinguished military and civilian
career. He retired from the Navy on 1November 2005, but was retained on Active
Duty through March 2006 at the request of the Deputy Secretary of Defense. He
then served as a civilian Special Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary
of Defense for Detainee Affairs. Rear Admiral McGarrah also retired from
Cingular Wireless in 2003 as Executive Director of National Network Planning
and Operations. He is now the Director of the Information Technology and
Telecommunications Laboratory at Georgia Tech Research Institute.

Mr. Bill Sailing
Our speaker for November will be Bill Sailing, who graduated
as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Ohio University with a degree in
business administration and his military service included a tour in Vietnam
with the 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry 4th
Infantry Division serving as a platoon leader and Battalion S-1.
He later served as commanding officer of an Armed Forces Entrance and
Examining Station in Roanoke, VA before leaving the service with the rank of
Captain. He currently serves on the Board of Vets Help
Vets, Inc. a not-for-profit organization providing home renovation services to
our disabled vets and will speak to us on that topic and several others.

Lt. Col. Rob Waldman
Lt.
Col. Rob ‘Waldo’ Waldman, the wingman, is an inspirational leadership
speaker, author, and peak performance coach.
