Fort McPherson

Fort McPherson is located Southwest of Atlanta proper just North of East Point.  The base is bounded on the East side by Lee Street SW and on the South side by Langford Freeway/Hwy 166 (previously Lakewood Freeway.).

You can enter the base either from Lee Street through the Patton Gate, or from Langford Freeway (previously Lakewood Freeway) through the South Gate.

If traveling on Hwy 75 take exit 243 West off of Hwy 75 onto  Langford Freeway/Hwy 166 (previously Lakewood Freeway).  

To enter through the South Gate, follow Langford Freeway/Hwy 166 (previously Lakewood Freeway) to the Fort McPherson (North Main) exit and go North to the gate.

To enter through the Patton Gate, take Lee Street to the gate.

If you have a military ID, either active or reserve, you will be cleared at the gate.  If not, you will have to stop and get a visitor's pass for the day.
